இலங்கை, யாழ்ப்பாணம், காங்கேசன்துறைக்கு அப்பால் ஏப்ரல் 02, 2023 அன்று இரவு மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்ட விசேட தேடுதல் நடவடிக்கையின் போது இலங்கை கடற்படையினர் சந்தேகத்திற்கிடமான படகு ஒன்றை இடைமறித்துள்ளனர்.
அப்போது அந்த படகில் 428 கிலோ கேரள கஞ்சா இருந்தது. கைப்பற்றப்பட்ட கஞ்சா காங்கேசன்துறை துறைமுகத்திற்கு கொண்டு வரப்பட்டது, அங்கு இலங்கை கடற்படைத் தளபதி வைஸ் அட்மிரல் பிரியந்த பெரேரா இன்று (ஏப்ரல் 03) காலை பார்வையிட்டார்.
இந்த நடவடிக்கையின் போது சட்டவிரோதமான செயல் தொடர்பில் 02 நபர்கள்;கைது செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளனர். கடத்தலுக்கு பயன்படுத்தப்பட்ட ஒரு படகும் பறிமுதல் செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது.
கைது செய்யப்பட்ட நபர்கள் அனலத்தீவு தீவில் வசிப்பவர்கள் எனவும், 33 மற்றும் 37 வயதுடையவர்கள் எனவும் அடையாளம் காணப்பட்டுள்ளனர்.

Seizure of Kerala Ganja near Kangesanthurai!- 2 people arrested.
A suspicious boat was intercepted by the Sri Lankan Navy during a special search operation on April 02, 2023 night off Kangesanthurai, Jaffna, Sri Lanka.
At that time, the boat had 428 kg of Kerala ganja. The seized ganja was brought to Kangesanthurai port where Sri Lanka Navy Commander Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera visited this morning (April 03).
During this operation, 02 persons have been arrested in connection with the illegal activity. A boat used for smuggling has also been seized.
The arrested persons have been identified as residents of Analathivu Island and aged 33 and 37.
