வந்தே பாரத் திட்டத்தின் கீழ், துபாயிலிருந்து 184 பயணிகள், விமானி உள்பட 6 ஏர் இந்தியா குழு உறுப்பினர்கள் அடங்கிய 190 பேருடன் வந்த ‘ஏர் இந்தியா எக்ஸ்பிரஸ்’ விமானம், நேற்று இரவு கோழிக்கோடு கரிப்பூர் விமான நிலையத்தில் தரையிறங்கும் போது மழையின் காரணமாக ஓடுபாதையில் மோதி விபத்துக்குள்ளானது.
இந்த விபத்தில் 18 பேர் உயிர் இழந்ததாக உறுதி செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது. இறந்தவர்கள் மலப்புரம், கோழிக்கோடு மற்றும் பாலக்காடு மாவட்டங்களின் பூர்வீகமாக வசிப்பவர்கள் என்பது விசாரணையில் தெரிய வந்துள்ளது.
காயமடைந்தவர்கள் கோழிக்கோடு மற்றும் மலப்புரம் மாவட்டங்களில் மருத்துவமனையில் அனுமதிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளனர். முதன்மை மருத்துவ சிகிச்சை அளித்து 22 பயணிகள் வீடுகளுக்கு அழைத்துச் செல்லப்பட்டனர். மருத்துவமனையில் 149 பயணிகள் சிகிச்சை பெற்று வருகின்றனர். இதில் 22 பயணிகள் கடுமையாக காயமடைந்துள்ளனர். இதனால் உயிர் இழப்பின் எண்ணிக்கை அதிகரிக்கக் கூடும் என்று அஞ்சப்படுகிறது.
KARIPPUR AIRPORT ACCIDENT
Eighteen people including two crew members are confirmed dead after the IX 1344 Dubai-Calicut flight overshot the runway while landing at the Calicut International Airport on 07.08.2020.
The deceased have been identified as natives of Malappuram, Kozhikode and Palakkad districts of Kerala. There were 184 passengers and 6 crew members on board at the time of the accident. Details of the deceased passengers of IX 1344 ( AS ON 08/08/2020 , 10.30 am)

Kozhikode Soon after the mishap took place around 7.30 pm, the passengers were rushed to nearby hospitals with the help of personnels from fire & rescue, police and revenue departments, CISF, health department and trauma care specialists.
The rescue operation was coordinated by Malappuram and Kozhikode District Collectors. A. C Moideen, Hon’ble Minister for Local Self Government, Government of Kerala, camped at the crash site to oversee the rescue operation. Around 100 ambulance services were deployed to take the injured passengers to hospitals.
The injured have been admitted to hospitals in Kozhikode and Malappuram districts. 22 passengers were taken to their homes after providing primary medical treatments. 149 passengers are undergoing treatment in these hospitals.
